-It is the clients responsibility, not the psychologists, to be aware of how many sessions they have used/are eligible for and to ensure they have arranged the required paperwork and that it has been sent to the psychologist (it is a good idea to contact your GP and ask them for a copy of the paperwork in case their fax or email has not been successful as you will need to email or fax this yourself to your psychologist). If you need any advice or information around this you need to contact Medicare directly https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/contact-medicare?context=64107#a1

Lisa Mulhall Psychology offers affordable treatment options well below the recommended fee. We believe that financial hardship should not become a barrier to accessing psychological support and treatment. This is why we currently only offer online Telehealth sessions which helps keep fees down due to low overheads.

All treatment forms (Consent Form and DASS 21 Questionnaire) need to be completed and a signed Fees agreement in place by 5pm of the last business day BEFORE the 1st session or your session will be cancelled (including those seeking Bulk Billing) - including a copy of your current Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP.

Initial Appointment Fee = $185 per session

This first appointment involves a detailed history taking, assessment of needs and formulation of treatment goals. A referral acknowledgement letter is also sent to your referring GP if you have a current Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).
After paying the full fee at the time of consultation via secure online processing, you can also receive a Medicare Rebate of $96.65 (As of 1st July 2025 this rebate increases to $98.95) per session if you have a valid MHCP from a GP. WorkCover and CTP

Lisa Mulhall Psychology is approved to provide Psychological treatment for those eligible under WorkCover and CTP in NSW, QLD, VIC, WA and SA. The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) covers the cost of these sessions. Please provide your claim number and insurance representative contact details (name, email and phone number) in the booking form to arrange an appointment. If these details are not provided at the time of booking you will be responsible for paying the session fee on the day and claiming the costs back from your insurer. Please note the Fee's for WorkCover are different from our Standard Fee's listed above so please be aware of this if you decide you would like to pay yourself and get reimbursed by your insurer as Lisa Mulhall Psychology does not liaise with Workcover or provide reports to those who are paying Standard Fee's or under Bulk Billing.

Cancellation Policy = There is a minimum of 24 hours notice required for ALL booked appointments.

All cancellations are to be provided in writing to Lisa Mulhall Psychology at the address info@lisamulhallpsychology.com.au with a minimum of 24 hours notice.
After a client has made TWO cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, all appointments moving forward will require FULL prepayment of the session fee. Prepayment is also required for those that require multiple requests to pay for fees AT THE TIME OF THE SESSION. This fee is payable at the time of booking via secure link. The booking is not confirmed until prepayment is made and if not received at the time of booking, the future appointment is cancelled. If a client does not agree to continue treatment with prepayment they will be referred back to their referring GP advising further treatment is not available and re-referral to an alternate provider will be required. All prepaid sessions will be provided with a receipt once the session is attended and the client is then responsible for uploading this document to Medicare to seek the rebate if they are eligible (prepaid sessions that are not attended cannot be used to claim a rebate from Medicare and prepaid sessions can only be rescheduled once with a minimum of 24 hours notice, prepaid sessions are all NON REFUNDABLE).
Clients under WorkCover/WorkSafe/CTP who cancel two sessions with less than 24 hours notice, will no longer be offered booked appointments moving forward as Workcover does not provide prepayment and will not cover the cost of cancelled sessions. These clients will be offered the option to make contact on an "as needed basis" to book appointments subject to availability and as a condition of their treatment, repeated non attendance will be reported to their insurer to work out any barriers in attending their appointments. These clients will also have the option to prepay their own booked appointments at the published Workcover/Work Safe rates and claim the full cost back from their insurer if the insurer agrees. Prepaid sessions can only be rescheduled once with a minimum of 24 hours notice, prepaid sessions are all NON REFUNDABLE.
